Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow have officially announced that their upcoming fantasy family entertainer, Nayi Naveli, will hit the big screens on October 16, 2026. The film features Yami Gautam Dhar in an intriguing new avatar that promises to be unlike anything we have seen from her before.
Set in the vibrant backdrop of Meerut, the plot revolves around an eccentric family that welcomes a new bride. At first glance, she appears to be the perfect daughter-in-law, instantly bringing joy and harmony back into their household. However, the atmosphere shifts when her suspicious brother-in-law begins to question her true identity. The film keeps the audience guessing with the central, chilling question: Is this seemingly perfect sister-in-law actually a witch?
The project brings together a powerhouse creative team, with Balaji Mohan taking the director’s chair. The screenplay is penned by the duo Himanshu Sharma and Divya Nidhi Sharma, while the music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Producers Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma are backing the film, with Rai promising that the narrative will surprise viewers at every single turn.
