The world of sports and fashion collided in Mumbai as the Pro Govinda League hosted its first-ever grand fashion show to launch the team jerseys for Season 4. The event turned into a visual spectacle when the captains of all 16 participating teams walked the runway to present their new kits. In a heartwarming display of patriotism, the captains joined forces to form a spectacular ‘Pyramid of Unity’, perfectly capturing the spirit of Independence Day through the lens of athleticism and team bonding.
Designed by renowned fashion choreographer Wahbiz Mehta, the runway saw an incredible surge of energy from the participating athletes. Adding to the glamour, the franchise owners walked alongside them, sporting stylish team-inspired jackets crafted by designer Rachit Ajmera. Each jersey was meticulously designed to highlight the unique culture, local symbols, and regional heritage of the city it represents, making the collection a true celebration of local pride.
Reflecting on the vision behind the event, PGL Founder and President Purvesh Sarnaiak stated that every pyramid serves as a powerful symbol of trust, collaboration, and a shared goal. He noted that the ‘Pyramid of Unity’ is a meaningful tribute to the upcoming Independence Day. The upcoming season is set to be a massive affair, featuring 16 franchises and over 3,000 athletes competing for glory. The matches are scheduled to take place from August 25 to 27, 2026, at the SVP Dome in Worli, Mumbai. With cricket superstar Suryakumar Yadav serving as the league’s brand ambassador, fans can catch all the action live as the matches are streamed on JioHotstar.
